Just Beauty Direct Reviewer of the Month (or Four!)

You know, I have been meaning to do this for ages – but somehow the end of the day would arrive before I could tick this particular (and very pleasant) task off my ‘to do’ list.

We now have over 120 reviews on our website – all of them done by you, the customer and we include them, good and bad. Although they are previewed before they are published we don’t edit them and we don’t correct them – they are your opinions and your opinions matter.

Today I had three e-mails thanking us for the reviews on the site and how helpful and informative they had been to the three customers concerned. So I decided ‘today’s the day’

So (and apologies for the backlog – but better late than never)

Our first reviewer of the month….Miss February (our first month of trading) – the winner is Darlene for her review of the Classic Smashbox Primer
Darlene says

Imagine a satin nightie, the way it flows over your body like liquid, imagine how silky it feels as you run your hands down it, well now imagine Photo Primer. Its EXACTLY the same. I used it for the first time today and was GOBSMACKED to say the least. My skin felt beautiful, it was almost a shame to put make up on top of it but when I did the make up slid on so easily and my skin STILL felt wonderful.
Several hours later my make up is still in place, i’m not shiny and my skin feels like silk. My only complaint? I DIDN’T BUY THE BIG TUBE….grrrrrr (however I shall be back for it)

Miss March was Clare Stubbins who is a regular beauty sleuth – Clare has done us many reviews but the one that I really like is her down to earth review of the SMASHBOX classic eyeliner palette in Proof – it says it all…

Of all the eyeliner palettes this one is my favourite, contains all the classic colours and is so easy to use, the brush is perfect and the colours are all very wearable, there is nothing in this palette I could not use and the texture makes them so easy to apply and make the eyes pop. A staple in my make-up bag.

Miss April was Tammy Allen for her review of the Ultimate Kabuki Duo

OH, OH, OH, can’t discribe how soft these are. I know you have to buff bare escentuals foundations quite hard, and other brushes have felt scratchy. These two feel like clouds. Soooooooo soft and they work really well in getting the powder into the brush and then onto your face. Worth every pennny. Will there be other brushes in this range?

And to bring us up to date…..

Miss May was our own Donna Cooper – who not only is our most prolific reviewer – but she is also the one whose reviews are commented on most often. If I had to single one out Donna, it would be your review of the new Smashbox Shadowbox Palette

This is a wonderful eyeshadow palette. The colours run from light pink to the darkest grey. Mainly soft shimers with two mats which could be used as eyeliners. There are more neutrals and warm shades such a minks,golden browns than the Smokebox. So I think more versatile for those who don’t want the dark smokey eyed look. Super big mirror, yet so many eyeshadow looks in a palette which will fit into your makeup bag.

Many thanks to all our reviewers – the time you take and the effort you put in is so much appreciated – and (phew….I’m getting clammy here) congratulations to Darlene, Tammy, Clare and Donna who have each received a Just Beauty Direct voucher for £10 to spend at their leisure (I doubt they will have any difficulty)

    OH WOW, how lucky are we? Thanks Jayne, what a fab surprise. (Its the one and only time i’ll ever be Miss February lol)
