Smashbox SPF Primer wins 2008 Allure Beauty Awards

Posted on | July 12, 2008 | 1 Comment

We think that is no mean feat – beating off stiff competition from the likes of Laura Mercier, Paula Dorf, Lorac, Bare Escentuals Prime Time, Philosophy and of course many high street brands. A google search for foundation primer shows that Smashbox Primers, if you will pardon the pun, really have it covered.

From clear and original, to colour correcting (as recommended in the Channel 4 ‘How to Look Good Naked’ program) bronzing, Whitening and even combined with Artificial Lights illuminating lotion. It also comes in a concentrated primer pen for deeper lines (perfect for around the eyes and for enlarged pores on the nose). For those with oily or combination skintones (or for a lighter product which Jayne finds perfect for summer evenings) there is also Smashbox Primer Light.

But it’s the SPF foundation primer which has won the day this time – a product which also contains Dermaxyl which moisturises the skin and works to reduce the appearance of those irritating little lines and wrinkles. So you’re not only going to get smoother, longer-lasting makeup, plus the protection of an SPF sunscreen; but over time, you’ll also see the positive anti-aging effects of DERMAXYL™ COMPLEX on your skin.
Although the active ingredients give this a pink tinge – this product goes on the skin completely clear and is suitable for all skintones.

Is it any wonder it won? We are delighted, but frankly not surprised – it is one of Just Beauty Direct’s top selling products.

Sorry – been asked to mention, Smashbox Primer is soooooo popular that keeping any of the primers in stock is no mean feet. Just to let you know that an order is winging its way across the pond and for those waiting for Adjust (Green) primer, Bronzing primer and the classic Original – all in the new pump dispensers… we expect them to arrive by the end of July at the latest.
If not, Jayne says she is going over to LA to get them…….
We will update you as soon as they are here, but for a personal update you can also click on the update product button on the product description itself and as soon as the backorders arrive you will be sent an e-mail
